Our client was the original homeowner and was ready to renovate to accommodate their changing needs. They had a rarely used sunroom adjacent to their kitchen, a small u–shape kitchen with overhead cabinets that made it feel small and closed in and blocked their view of their back yard. We were able to make their kitchen much larger by removing the wall between the kitchen and sunroom. By adding windows facing their stunning backyard gardens, we were able to bring the outdoors into their kitchen making the space bright and welcoming, while keeping a direct door to their outdoor deck. Placing cabinetry along the outside walls of the kitchen and an island in the middle we nearly tripled their storage and functional working space while making the focus their beautiful backyard, giving the space and abundance of natural light and stunning backyard views!
